WILDAU FOUNDATION YEAR – WFY

A preparation programme for international students, organised by the Technical University of Applied Sciences (TH) Wildau. Students of passed HSC or equivalent degree from Bangladesh are eligible to apply for Foundation and Foundation+ programs. More details about requirement of the program are given below.

02 WFY OVERVIEW

The study preparatory programme “Wildau Foundation Year” prepares the participants for their further studies at TH Wildau and cooperating universities. Language, culture, specific subject related courses and academic methodology are the core elements of WFY.

03 ACADEMIC STRUCTURE OF WFY

Studies are divided into two academic semesters or two academic semesters plus one semester
intensive German language course. Participants take several exams during the two academic
semesters and the German language exam for higher education (DSH exam) which is mandatory
for admission to a Bachelor programme of your choice.

The core academic programme is supplemented by study visits to the Futurium Lab,
enterprises, museums, research institutions and other interesting sites in Germany,
particularly in Berlin.

04 GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed WFY application forms
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate with transcript of records officially authenticated and translated into German or English language
  • WFY programme: German B1 certificate (according to CEFR)
  • WFY+ programme: no German Language certificate required
  • English on communication level
  • Completed WFY application forms
  • Copy of passport (validity of at least two years)
  • Biometric passport photo (jpg)

05 EDUCATION AFTER WFY

After successful graduation from the WFY programme and after passing the German language test (DSH) you have the possibility to apply for studying at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau or one of the cooperating universities to pursue a Bachelor degree in the respective selected field of study.
