The University of Arkansas (the U of A) was founded on March 30, 1871, as a land-grant college known as Arkansas Industrial University. It is now one of the best universities in the United States. The University of Arkansas System’s flagship campus opened in 1872 with a class of seven boys and one girl. In addition, in the first year, the overall enrolment climbed to over 100 pupils. The university completed work on a university hall, currently known as ‘Old Main,’ in 1885. The first class of the university graduated in 1876, and the first honorary degree was conferred in 1878. Following an editorial campaign by The Ozark in 1899, the university was given its current name.
The University of Arkansas, based in Fayetteville, offers a magnificent 412-acre campus with 378 well-maintained buildings, green spaces, parking places, and pathways. To ensure that students have an amazing learning experience, the institution provides superb academic, administrative, recreational, and support facilities. The university libraries are the primary source of knowledge for learning, teaching, and research, with a unique and uncommon collection of printed and digital materials. It offers 94 undergraduate programmes, 79 postgraduate programmes, 39 doctorate and specialised programmes, and 27 graduate certificate programmes to meet the diverse career needs of students.
International applicants are accepted at Arkansas State University as long as they meet all of the program’s prerequisites. International applicants, on the other hand, must meet some additional standards in order to study in the United States.
