A Tourist visa is granted to a foreigner whose sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight seeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, attending a short term yoga programme, short duration medical treatment including treatment under Indian systems of medicine etc. and no other purpose/ activity.

Medical Visa

Foreign nationals with ordinary passports can apply for a medical e-visa. This one is a triple-entry visa that allows you to stay in the country for 60 days. It comes with a validity period of 60 days as well. Afterward, you'll need to renew your visa or apply for a traditional one.
